@DarthAstrius I also block relatively few people, but in this case the recipient is a service, not a person, and I’ve blocked them for technical reasons, as described.
Why should you bother to block @[email protected]?
Because bridging has side effects. Chief among them is it leaks information in ways you may not expect if you primarily stick to one network or the other.
For example, who-has-blocked-who is public on Bluesky, and there are tools for monitoring this; if you are bridged and block someone’s Bluesky account, they might be alerted (a friend of mine ran afoul of this this week). https://social.growyourown.services/@FediTips/115928828785611251
