Husband, Father, Software Engineer (PHP, go, etc.). Lover of Star Trek and anime.

Looking for other things to do, such as writing, acting, voice acting, but not really finding the time for it. Maybe when my kids are a little older, I'll get back on stage.

Feeling pretty bleak about the future of the United States. #NeverTrump

Do any of these browsers have settings and bookmarks sync? I mean - how hard is it to allow to point to some file/folder on the cloud or even FTP and use it for syncing? One link in the settings and everything is synced on all devices 🤷‍♂️

You can probably use Firefox Sync on all of these. I just started using @[email protected], and it was available behind an about:config setting (look for fxaccounts, I believe).

And if you don't want to use Mozilla's servers, there may be third-party alternatives, and you'd just have to change the server address (also in about:config).

I even remember seeing a self-hosting option for Firefox Sync years ago. I don't know if it's still around.
