@nixCraft This has been a big topic of ciscussion over on Hinge recently…
@nixCraft fyi i'm on fedi too!
@nixCraft i could feel the pure RAGE when they dropped it
@nixCraft seems like a quick way to wear out those hinges lol
@nixCraft Anyone happen to know the cyclic loading profile of the materials used in the screen?
@nixCraft This was developed by foldable screen manufacturers and you can't convince me otherwise.
@nixCraft Every phone is a folding phone if you fold hard enough.
@nixCraft an interesting way of implementing planned obsolescence
I think if you play it too much, there is a high chance you will end up damaging your foldable phone. So play on your own risk!
@nixCraft probably the worst way to play I've seen but I doubt folding like that would damage the device.
@nixCraft Eh, it'll probably be fine unless you overbend it, although knowing how rage inducing flappy bird could be, would not be that crazy.
@nixCraft For those who want to reduce the risk 😉

Reminds me somewhat of "Send Me To Heave": an Android game which used the accelerometer to measure how high you managed to throw your phone.
@nixCraft Or play on your friend's device! 😁
@nixCraft I feel like even once is probably wearing too much into the lifetime of that thing...
I've never been very comfortable with the idea of foldable screens... They have a limited lifetime out of the box by their very definition...
@nixCraft FML....
If you have a foldable Google or Samsung (or any Android foldable phone) you can play this game. It is a flappy bird clone that uses your folding phone as the controller

This is a video demo of Foldy Bird, which can only be played on foldable devices. At the moment, only Chrome supports the required APIs. Demo source https://xcancel.com/rebane2001/status/2007198231479103611
