"Battle Hymn of the Republic" should be sung at about 90 beats per minute.

I timed our organist this morning. She was playing it at just over 60.

So it's 9 o'clock on a Sunday morning, and instead of playing a rousing hymn to help us wake up and get excited for the worship service, she's turned it into a funeral dirge.
