@kottke It's depressing to see some who support democracy and call on others to act continue to support Substack simply because it's easier to go along (much as Republicans in Congress support Trump: not necessarily because they want what he does, but because opposing him would bring trouble).

People like Heather Cox Richardson and James Fallows talk the talk but don't walk the walk (because that would cause too much trouble).
