Pessimism is worthless. If bad things come to pass, pessimism will do nothing to blunt the blow but you will suffer longer because you have borrowed worry in advance. Look forward to glory, not imagined failure! Tales will be told of your deeds, not your doubts!
You know when you're expecting a phone call, and it hasn't come, and you start to think your phone isn't working, so you ask someone to call you, just in case?

mesmerized doesn't begin to describe the fedi for me, and the fact I can contribute to it in some way is like a dream
I'm a self-taught hs dropout and I was lost for a few years until I learned webdev, it helped me grow and I still struggle with imposter syndrome but I wouldn't trade this for the world
