My nine-year-old has started getting into programming, and I'm trying to figure out how to ease him into it.
When I was his age, I learned using the Advanced BASIC Programming manual that came with the family Commodore 64. That was obviously a different time. It seems he already wants to learn Typescript.
He started with making a Gameboy game with GB Studio, but now wants to modify GB Studio itself to do new stuff.
Anyway, I'm looking for suggestions on a decent git GUI client that works on Linux. The kids' computer runs Fedora. I think I'm going with git-cola
, but would love any other suggestions.
I got a computer for my kids for Christmas. I've been setting it up for them, and they really like playing retro games. So, in addition to RetroArch and a bunch of old console games, I also installed @[email protected] with a handful of adventure games that I've loved since I was a kid (Monkey Island, King's Quest, Maniac Mansion).
I'm looking for suggestions for other ScummVM compatible games that adventurous kids might like that may be less well known.
Any point and click adventure games you played as a kid that you could recommend?
