I've been using this account as my primary for about a week now, and I'm think I'm settled on using it for the foreseeable future, so I guess it's time to do another #introduction post.
I'm a dad of four kids, and a web developer. I have a college degree in #Theater (or #Theatre) and had aspirations of being an actor. I kind of fell into web development as a career. It was a hobby back in high school, and I just needed to pay some bills after college, so I ended up doing this.
I always have aspirations to do other things, but for now, I'm pretty happy spending most of my time as a dad and husband.
Some day, I'd like to get back into #acting, or maybe do some #VoiceActing. I also enjoy #writing and will, from time to time, post some #MicroFiction, usually from somebody's #WritingPrompt.
I love #StarTrek, and usually watch at least one episode nearly every day. I like all #SciFi really, though, as well as #fantasy. I used to read a lot, but find I don't have as much time or mental capacity for it as I used to. I also enjoy watching #anime, and have really been enjoying the new episodes of #Bleach lately.
Feel free to follow me if you think we have similar interests, and I may follow you back, if I think likewise.

Our dear President paid tribute to the murdered Rob Reiner in his post on TruthSocial with these words:
A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS. He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before. May Rob and Michele rest in peace!
Making a terrible murder all about yourself is really classy.
As a side note, can I just say how valuable it is to let your kid know you trust them with their own identity? If you truly don't believe they're trans, gay, nonbinary, or whatever "phase" you think it is, there's no harm in letting them work through it. The trust you place in them will be the best show of support you could ever give. They will never forget it, I promise you.
If they're not, they will figure it out. If they are, you will have a head start on being an actual ally to your child. It's not possible to overstate how much this would mean to them. Trust me. I know what it feels like to have a parent refuse to acknowledge your identity. It hurts a lot.
Amazon will let authors publish books without DRM starting next month.
If you're an author who publishes on Amazon, please consider doing this for all future books.

2025 when using Calibri is an act of rebellion.
I have a library joke; it's really novel!
There’s a myth in the US that the only way to enact change is to elect sympathetic politicians and hope they do the right thing. But history shows that the most effective way to get politicians to act is to disrupt economic activity. Strikes, boycotts, sabotage, and other organized disruptions have overwhelmingly been the primary catalysts behind every major legislative action that has benefited the public.

The most recent episode of Watson had a character who had developed an unhealthy relationship with his AI chatbot.
He started to imagine he could see her talking to him, so Dr. Watson was trying to figure out how to treat this AI psychosis. The dialogue for the chatbot character was really well written. She sounded so much like ChatGPT, it was uncanny.
I wonder if the writers actually had ChatGPT write her lines.
How many Trump supporters does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They prefer to remain in the dark.
Secretary of State Rubio has concluded Calibri is a DEI font and orders US diplomats to revert to Times New Roman in official communications. https://www.devdiscourse.com/article/politics/3725456-font-wars-times-new-roman-vs-calibri-in-us-diplomacy
This is stressing me out.
Parents used to have to look through their kids text messages to find out what they're up to. Now, we can check our kids' ChatGPT history.
